Tahoe Mountain Club – Truckee, CA

Architect: Old Greenwood by Jack Nicklaus (2004); Gray’s Crossing by Peter Jacobsen & Jim Hardy (2007)

Tahoe Mountain Club’s two championship courses sit among forested pines, meadows, and elevation-rich terrain just outside Truckee. Old Greenwood, a Jack Nicklaus Signature design, blends boldly contoured fairways with natural landforms and water features, and it even hosts the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship, giving it true tournament pedigree. Gray’s Crossing, by Peter Jacobsen & Jim Hardy, introduces a more open, meadowland feel with generous corridors and strategic bunkering. Together, they balance elite shot-making with serene alpine character.

Coyote Moon Golf Course – Truckee, CA

Architect: Brad Bell (2000)

Coyote Moon unfolds across alpine forests, granite outcroppings, and dramatic elevation changes, with Trout Creek influencing several holes. Brad Bell’s routing embraces the rugged terrain, creating a layout that feels secluded and purely natural. The downhill par-3 13th, dropping toward a creek-side green framed by rock and trees, perfectly captures its mountain identity.

Incline Village Championship Golf Course – Incline Village, NV

Architect: Robert Trent Jones Sr. (1964); Restored by Kyle Phillips

A true Sierra classic, this Robert Trent Jones Sr. design stretches across plateaus, creeks, and ridgelines, using elevation shifts to shape tee shots and reward precise positioning. Kyle Phillips’ restoration sharpened the green complexes and brought back the original strategic intent, all while preserving the course’s mountain feel. Panoramic views, sloping fairways, and tiered greens create a layout where thoughtful play is rewarded and the surrounding alpine scenery is always in view.
